Arriving into Langkawi on the third stop of a Malaysian adventure, I knew I had saved the best. Langkawi was a luscious green tropical paradise, and reminded me of being back in Thailand all them many years ago (with the proximately of the Island to Thailand its not surprising) a smile could not leave my face and my only regret was not having booked more nights!

Our Four Month old son was taking it all in his stride, his priority at that age was a swimming pool! And the Four Seasons delivered that to him in a big scale! Water Falls and shaded planted areas provided him a senses overload!

As always one of my favourite reasons to go to South East Asia is that you know you will always be looked after, the staff are truly exceptional and everything is done with an infectious smile on their face without even a second ask!

We checked into our beach front ‘room’ and admired the view, perfect white sand beaches, limestone rock formations and crystal waters and a weight was lifted from our shoulders for the remainder of our stay.
The hotel set in the UNESCO jungle playground offered Perfect fusion cuisine, taking in all neighbouring countries influences and the islands fresh ingredients.
It was a perfect combination of doing nothing and admiring your setting and enjoy what they had to offer – water sports for all tastes, spa and yoga and then jungle explorations!
All I can say Is I cannot wait to bring the little one back when he is a little older!

After travelling to Morocco for nearly 10 years and living there for 6, there was always one place that you could go to that never failed to let you down. Sir Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot, set in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and just a short (under an hour’s) drive from Marrakech. Escape the heat and dust of the city and enjoy the stunning views from the terrace. Kasbah Tamadot was like a home away from home for me. Their service was second to none, high spec cuisine and luscious green garden settings made you feel as comfortable as can be.
My last trip to the Kasbah involved a 2 night stay in one of their Berber tent Suites, where you could relax in your Jacuzzi tub, listening to the call to prayer in the background and admiring the landscapes that surround you. My favourite time to visit was spring, the winter (most of the time) had produced a covering of Snow on the Atlas and the temperatures were just starting to rise in Marrakech, meaning you could escape the heat and feel like you were in a different world as you sipped on your refreshing cocktail whilst gazing at the Snow Capped Mountains.
Recommending the Kasbah came very easy to me, as you knew you and your clients would be looked after and there was nothing that was out of their reach.

Venice is a city that has captured my heart for many years now, and I really cannot remember how many times I have been there! Each time I arrive it does not fail to take my breath away. I visited the Londra Palace and had lunch there on my last visit to Venice and knew for my return it was the place I wanted to stay.
